Here is a recent article that appeared in the Oskarshamn newspaper, 31 May 2003. It is about a reunion of the Sabelskjöld family. Click the picture to read the article, but you better be able to read Swedish!

 

The Coat-of-Arms of the Sabelskjöld family.  Note especially the horse which is reminiscent of Carl Jonsson Sabelskjöld's heroic deeds in battle.

This is a view of the tombstone that was once layed over the graves of Carl Jonsson Sabelskjöld and Ingeborg Rosenstråle.  It stands now in the narthex of the church.
